CAMERA LESSON 1

On Friday the 7th we had our first technical camera lesson. The first thing we learnt was how to set up the tri-pod and how to attach the camera to it (we use a Sony NX5- a low grade professional camera), whilst changing the height of the tri-pod how to fit the battery in. The technician explained about the three main dials on the lenses; focusing, zooming and exposure. Then we went on to learn about the white balance button, this sets the colouring balance right and stopped it going a greeny/blue colouring. To do this someone has to stand in front of the camera whilst the filmier would zoom in on something white, like a white piece of paper or a white wall.
