First pitching of our ideas:

Yesterdays lesson my group; Owen, Frankie and me presented out two strongest ideas to Matt and Adam (the media teachers).

In our group we first discussed our two main ideas; the D of E idea and then Babysitting idea.

The D of E idea
12 students 2 teachers, set in a campsite in the woods
first shot one of the teachers waking up inside the tent drugged and confused with thats going on- bright reflecting light inside the tent.
teacher gets out of tent see the camp site trashed and all tents ripped and broke- shot in P.O.V, blurry and unfocused and wobbly because of drugged teacher.
teacher realises all students and other teacher has gone
he starts to run out of campsite into forset to find kids stubbling, handle shot, deap breathing
flask back of the night before 12 student 2 teachers around campfire happy and singing
back to handheld running
teacher stops and see something infront of him, stops and adjusts his eyes from being blurry, realises there is a lake with two of the kids floating dead in the lake
close up reaction shot
pan around the area and see a few more kids hanging dead

This we decided was our strongest idea, Matt and Adam agreed that they liked the tent idea and waking up drugged up. They also pointed out that it wouldnt be possible to film people floating in a lake in January when filming it because of the weather being too cold- we agreed with this as well. They also brought up that it would be better if we didnt have handhand running but filming the teacher running through the woods from behind to make it look like someone maybe watching him. Another thing that was brought up in our discussion was that the close up reaction could potentially look fake and unrealistic if not acted well. After talking about this idea we came to conculsion that we would come up with 6 other ideas after the tent to see if we could come up with any different conclusions.

Babysitter idea
1 teenager girl 1 baby girl, set at home at babys house
teenager watching tv/baby finger printing on table next to her
Tv starts to go fuzzy and power turns of, teenager tells baby to stay there whilst she trys to get a tourch and sort power out
handheld with tourch shows ways down the corridor
goes down stairs still with no light and tourch to find baby
baby isnt there
teenager runs up the stairs shouting her name looking for her, she sees hand and finger prints with paint along the banistair and walls, she follows them
they lead into bath room but no baby in there
image of baby standing behind her reflects in the mirror with babys messed up face

Adam and Matt liked the idea of the finger painting creating a path for the teenager to follow, and the hand prints scraped along the walls. They didnt think that the baby in the mirror idea was very strong and we agreed that it could look quite fake, cliche and typical.

After the meeting we put all the ideas that they liked together, we figured that the hand printing idea from the Babysitter could work well in the D of E idea but using footprints instead of hand prints. we are going to come up with some more ideas for the D of E idea that we can merge in.
